I would like to remind you of an event at The Faculty of Logistics, University of Maribor, intended for students of various faculties and universities throughout the world. They are invited to take part in the first Case study competition, which will take place as a part of the 10th International Conference on Logistics & Sustainable Transport in June 2013. Students, participating in the case study competition, also have free access to the conference lectures and presentations, they do not however have free access to lunches and other conference social events.

The actual specific case will be defined by the sponsor company, which will be revealed after all competing groups are applied. The case problem will be business oriented and its solving will not require any previous logistics knowledge.

The competition will take place at the Faculty of Logistics, University of Maribor, in Celje, Slovenia, from Wednesday, 12th June 2013 to Friday, 14th June 2013.

The winning team will be awarded with practical prizes from the sponsor company. All participating teams who finish the competition will of course gain an array of new skills and knowledge and will also be given certificates to confirm their participation in the Case study competition.

I am attaching the invitation and application form. Please disseminate this invitation among your students as you see fit. I strongly believe that this is an excellent opportunity for students for applying their knowledge, networking and taking part in the conference.
